FEATURED PROJECTS

Our research chair develops projects that address the key scientific and technological challenges in underground storage and reservoir geomechanics. These include the modeling and monitoring of salt caverns, CCUS/CCS reservoirs, and Pre-Salt fields, as well as experimental studies on CO₂-rock interactions and numerical simulations for reservoir optimization.
Projects are carried out in collaboration with major companies like Petrobras, Braskem, and Repsol Sinopec, and are co-financed by institutions such as EMBRAPII.

Learn more about our work and explore how these projects contribute to the energy transition and decarbonization strategies.
